Director of Alumni Relations

Job Summary

The Director of Alumni Relations is a key position within the St. Pius X Advancement office. The Director is responsible for the planning and implementation of programs and projects that engage St. Pius X alumni and provide tangible benefits. The Director also serves as an ambassador and is charged with creating and maintaining pathways for alumni participation that advance the strategic goals of the School.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Create and strengthen relationships between St. Pius X alumni and the School

· Develop, implement and promote programing to re-connect alumni with the School
· Develop, implement and promote alumni-focused events that support the School’s strategic initiatives
· Educate graduating students about alumni benefits and engage them in programs
· Maintain regular communication with alumni via direct contact, email blasts, alumni web pages, and print publications
· Work in conjunction with the Director of Annual Giving to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward alumni gifts
· Secure commitments from alumni to provide professional expertise and volunteer service
· Work collaboratively with the Advancement Assistant to ensure accurate and complete alumni database records; capture biographical and career information of alumni via surveys, projects, correspondence, website, postal returns, etc.
· Work closely with the Alumni Association Board of Directors, arranging its meetings, staffing its committees and ensuring strong and productive relationships between its members and School
· Perform other duties as requested by the Head of School and the Director of Advancement
· This position reports to the Director of Advancement

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field
· A minimum of three years of experience in alumni relations and external affairs with demonstrated accomplishment in fostering productive relationships with volunteers and developing volunteer leadership
· Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with colleagues throughout the School, alumni, other constituents and the public
· The demonstrated ability to strategize, implement and build constituency programs and activities, along with a talent for motivating volunteers
· Flexibility and initiative, as well as the ability to work independently, combined with the skills for thriving in a team environment to achieve goals
· High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information
· Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines
· Experience with Raiser's Edge or a similar constituent database
· Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

School Bus Driver

Job Summary

School Bus Driver is responsible for operating a school bus to transport students proficiently over specified routes to and from school and various activities. Reporting to the Transportation Coordinator, the School Bus Driver conducts pre-trip inspections; observes safety regulations and policies; enforces student discipline on the bus; and performs related work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation
· Transport students to and from school each day on established routes in a safe and timely manner; students safety is of the utmost importance in route and drop off at their final destination
· Drive additional extracurricular routes that includes sporting events, practices, field trips, service, etc.
· Clean bus as necessary to maintain professional appearance and sanitation of vehicle
· Additional charter work on an as needed basis
· Report all accidents, vehicle damage, students injuries and mechanical problems in a timely manner
· Exerts a positive influence and work in harmony with associates
· Respond to suggestions for improvement in a positive manner
· Display professionalism in working with students, parents, staff and community
· Maintain professional appearance
· Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Transportation Coordinator


Qualifications:

· Education requirements include a high school diploma or G.E.D.
· Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with “P” & “S” endorsements and school bus safety course
· Must have an excellent driving record
· Must pass a criminal history check along with a DOT physical examination and drug screen
· Must complete the Archdiocesan Virtus training program
· Ability to operate a school bus
· Ability to read and understand documents including policies and procedure manuals
· Must be physically able to perform and demonstrate emergency evacuation procedures (including pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds) and the ability to use emergency exits at any location on the bus
· Must possess the ability to maintain student discipline and ensure that student behavior is not a distraction to safe driving
· Must possess basic first aid and CPR certification or acquire such within a timely manner
·Must possess good communication skills and the ability to relate well with students and adults

Mathematics Teacher

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach college preparatory level and/or honors level courses in mathematics.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred in Mathematics or related field
· Secondary teaching experience preferred
· Advanced Placement training a plus
· Knowledge of a variety of strategies for engagement, instruction and assessment
· Knowledge of current best practices in mathematics teaching
· Ability to integrate use of technology into lessons
· Communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, parents, and staff
· Ability and interest in working with students with a range of skill levels
· Coaching or club/organization sponsorship experience a benefit

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred in Biology, Chemistry, Bio Chemistry, Physics or related field
· Secondary teaching experience preferred
· Knowledge of a variety of strategies for engagement, instruction and assessment
· Knowledge of current best practices in science teaching
· Advanced Placement training a plus
· Ability to integrate use of technology into lessons
· Communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, parents, and staff
· Ability and interest in working with students with varying skill levels.

Head Library Media Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee Library Media Center facility and programs.

Qualifications:


· MLS, MLIS or Masters in Educational Technology
· Experience working at the secondary level preferred
· Experience with established and new educational technology and resources
· Ability to integrate technology into curriculum and research process
· Ability to collaborate with IT on new technology initiatives
· Ability to instruct faculty and staff on integrating new technology into curriculum
· Knowledge of maker space tools
· Ability to work with students with a variety of skill levels
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, teachers and staff.
