The St. Pius X Foundation exists to secure the long-term sustainability of our school, ensuring that we continue to offer academically competent, socially responsible students a Catholic education grounded in Dominican values. Our mission is to provide a solid financial foundation that supports the moral and intellectual leadership of future generations, empowering students to become leaders who embrace truth, justice, and service in all areas of life.

Foundation Goals
The Foundation’s key goals focus on sustaining SPX’s mission and fostering growth for future generations:
- Develop a Scholarship Fund and Financial Aid Program to make Catholic education accessible to deserving students.
- Fund Increased Faculty and Staff Salaries and Benefits to attract and retain the best educators.
- Develop a Fund for Necessary Capital Improvements to maintain and enhance the school’s facilities.
- Support Long-Term Projects as recommended by the SPX Board of Directors to meet the evolving needs of the school community.
- Create an Alternate Revenue Stream to secure additional operating funds, ensuring financial stability for years to come.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Foundation’s structure is designed for efficiency and accountability in meeting its fundraising goals. Key committees and their responsibilities include:
- Investment Committee: Oversees the long-term management of the Foundation’s investments, ensuring that resources grow and are used wisely to support SPX’s mission.
- Gala Committee: Responsible for planning and executing the annual fundraising Gala, a key event for the Foundation. The committee manages:
- Table sales and sponsorships
- Underwriting for the event
- Selection and recruitment of honorees each year
Primary Sources of Support
The Foundation receives funding through various sources that ensure SPX’s continued excellence:
- Net Proceeds from the Annual Gala: The Gala serves as the primary fundraising vehicle, contributing significantly to the Foundation’s endowment.
- Restricted Gifts: These donations, including those for scholarships or faculty chairs, support specific initiatives within SPX.
- Grants from Foundations that do not typically give to religious institutions, further increasing the Foundation’s ability to support SPX’s mission.

Organizational Structure
The St. Pius X Foundation operates with a dedicated group of leaders who ensure its success and the sustainability of the school’s mission:
- Foundation Board Members: Comprised of two members from the St. Pius X High School Board of Directors(typically the Chair and Vice Chair) and eight additional members who bring diverse perspectives and expertise.
