Volleyball Camp

Whether a beginner or seasoned player, SPX volleyball camp is designed to improve an athlete’s volleyball skills through fun and interactive learning experiences designed by our elite coaches

Camp Objectives:
Campers will learn volleyball drills, footwork, form, fundamentals and game mindset, all while having fun and competing. Players will have an opportunity to serve, pass, dig, set, dive, hit and scrimmage. Wednesday is a crazy dress day. On Thursday, the afternoon will be designed in a tournament structure where the athletes will have the opportunity to compete with coaches’ guidance.

Coaches include Head Coach Brockman, NCAA Division I Volleyball Players from local Universities and SPX Varsity Players.

Girls & Boys, 5th-9th Grade

When: 
June 21-24;  9am-3pm (drop-off starts at 8am)

Student Entrance (gated) on Donovan

Cost: 
$300

Lunch can be purchased for $5 Monday through Friday. 
(Drinks are not included in meals) 
If you choose not to purchase lunch, you will need to bring lunch.

Camp Activities:
The All Skills Camp is not position specific and is designed to meet the needs of all volleyball players. Skill development is emphasized during hours of on-court instruction in the following areas:

Serving Serve Receiving
Forearm Passing Setting
Team Defense Blocking
Attacking Attack Coverage
Team Reception Team Transition


Team Time:
Daily competition will be conducted through scrimmages, games and tournament formats to introduce a competitive but fun atmosphere.  Players will be divided by age and talent through evaluation sessions prior to rostering teams.  Each player will have the opportunity to experience what it’s like to play all positions.

Week Outlook:
Monday: Ball control focus, fundamentals of pass, set, hit and serve.
Tuesday: Defense and footwork focus (long sleeve shirts recommended)
Wednesday: Crazy dress day, live varsity scrimmage during lunch hour, attack/offense focus
Thursday: Competition day- serving, ball control, passing, setting, serving, and tournament

Registration & Proof of Insurance

All campers must provide proof of insurance coverage for any injury or sickness incurred while attending a St. Pius X High School camp. I waive and release St. Pius X High School, and any camp instructors from any liability from injury or illness incurred going to camp or while at camp or returning from camp. I , as parent/guardian, have actual knowledge and appreciation of the particulars of the program and hereby voluntarily consent to said minor's participation, and assume the risk arising there from. I hereby give my permission for emergency medical treatment in the event that I cannot be reached.
