Parent Association: How to Get Involved
There are many ways for parents to be involved in their child’s education and extracurricular activities at SPX. Here are just a few ways you can make a difference:
- Volunteer: Help with events, assist teachers, or provide support during school functions.
- Support Fundraisers: Attend or help organize fundraising events that support academic and extracurricular programs.
- Join Parent Committees: Become a member of committees such as the Booster Club, Alumni Association, or School Advisory Council.
- Mentorship Opportunities: Share your skills or professional expertise with students through career days, internships, or as a guest speaker.

Volunteer Opportunities
The Parent Engagement program relies on parents to volunteer at various events and initiatives throughout the year. Here are some volunteer opportunities:
- Event Planning: Help organize and coordinate school-wide events.
- Administrative Assistance: Provide support to teachers in the classroom or help with administrative tasks.
- Fundraising Support: Assist with planning and hosting fundraisers for SPX annual giving, athletics, fine arts, student life and academic initiatives.
