Campus Ministry
Living the Pillars of Veritas Every Day

At St. Pius X High School, Campus Ministry brings the Dominican Pillars of Prayer, Study, Community, and Preaching to life through service, worship and reflection. Led in the truth of Christ and guided by our Catholic faith, we foster a spiritual environment where all students are invited to grow in holiness, live out the Gospel, and encounter God’s love in community.
Campus Ministry is not just a student experience – it’s a lifelong invitation. We cultivate spiritual connections across our alumni network, partner organizations, sister Catholic schools, Dominican communities, and the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, reinforcing our shared commitment to truth, justice and service.

Let the children come to me. Do not hinder them. The soul of a child is the most delicate flower in the garden of God. Pope St. Pius X
Service Learning Apostolate

Grounded in the Dominican tradition of Preaching through action, students engage in 100 hours of community service during their junior and senior years. These experiences are rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and offer opportunities for deep reflection and meaningful impact.

Alumni Liturgies and Milestone Masses
Faith and fellowship don’t end at graduation. Campus Ministry honors our enduring Panther legacy through special liturgies for alumni, including:
-
Anniversary Class Masses: Gatherings for milestone reunion years that celebrate shared memories and rekindle spiritual bonds.
-
Gold and Silver Jubilee Liturgies: Honoring 50- and 25-year reunion classes in a sacred Mass that brings alumni together in prayer, gratitude, and community.
These events reflect our Dominican commitment to lifelong community and spiritual formation, inviting alumni to return to campus not just as guests - but as family.
Sacred Spaces
SPX Chapel

Our on-campus chapel is a peaceful space available daily for independent prayer, small group worship, quiet reflection and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Students, faculty and members of our extended community are welcome to find spiritual rest and prayer here.
Ott Prayer Garden

Located at the front of campus, this outdoor sanctuary is dedicated in loving memory of Mason Ott.
This Prayer Garden serves as a serene place for prayer and reflection, surrounded by natural beauty and inspired by the faith-filled spirit of a beloved Panther.
