Once you walk across the stage at graduation, you become part of something bigger – the St. Pius X Alumni Association. With over 8,000 members strong, our alumni are a vital part of SPX’s legacy, continuing to uphold the Dominican values of Prayer, Study, Community and Preaching in their personal and professional lives.
Alumni Association's Goals
The Alumni Association focuses on building meaningful connections and creating opportunities for engagement, including:
- Creating more alumni-directed events and activities
- Increasing alumni engagement
- Broadening alumni giving participation
- Encouraging volunteerism within the SPX community
- Fostering interaction with current students

Alumni Giving: A Gift that Makes a Difference
Alumni support is critical to maintaining the excellence of SPX’s educational programs. Through the Alumni Giving Program, you can make a lasting impact on the future of St. Pius X High School. Every gift, no matter the size, plays a role in inspiring a new generation of Panthers.
Torchbearer of Truth Award
Established in 2015, the Torchbearer of Truth Award honors a distinguished alumnus or alumna who exemplifies the Four Pillars of the Dominican charism – Prayer, Study, Community and Preaching – in both their chosen profession and community. The award celebrates those who are leaders among their peers, embodying the spirit of Veritas and Dominican social justice teachings. In addition, the recipient has given back to St. Pius X High School or their church, contributing their time, talent, or treasure.
Torchbearer of Truth Award Criteria
A Torchbearer of Truth Candidate must:
- Have graduated from St. Pius X High School at least 5 years prior to the award date.
- Serve as an outstanding example of the Four Pillars of the Dominican Charism in both their career and community.
- Be a leader among peers, exemplifying the Veritas motto and Dominican social justice teachings.
- Contribute to St. Pius X High School and/or their church through time, talent, or treasure.
The Alumni Association Board, and approved by the St. Pius X High School Leadership Team, select the recipient of the Torchbearer of Truth Award from the nominations submitted by our alumni community.
