Welcome back to the 2022-2023 school year!
We are looking forward to another great year in SPX athletics. This message contains important information for all students planning to participate in a fall sport. Fall sports at St. Pius X High School are cheer, cross country, football, and volleyball. While practices and trainings have been taking place all summer (in accordance with TAPPS rules), these sports officially start on Aug. 1. Please contact the appropriate head coach to obtain the necessary tryout, participation, and practice information.
All athletes and their families are highly encouraged to follow SPX athletics on Twitter (@SPXPanthers) and/or on Instagram (@spx_panthers). We utilize these platforms for important announcements, celebrations, and honors. Individual fall athletic accounts are listed below:
Prior to participation, all athletes are required to register online via Rank One. Please click here for a registration tutorial for RankOne. This information can also be found in MySchoolApp, under "Athletic Forms". The Athletic Physical form must be completed in full and submitted to the SPX Athletic Trainer, Jeremy Kallus. Jeremy serves as the point of contact should you have any issues registering for or logging in to Rank One.
The TAPPS Student Profile section of the online forms needs to be completed honestly and correctly. This is particularly important for the following students:
- Transfer Students
- Foreign Resident Students
- Students living with a Guardian
Inaccurate information may delay eligibility and participation in athletics at SPX.
Transfer students (this does not include incoming freshman), who participated in a sport at their previous high school, are required to complete the TAPPS Previous Athletic Participation Form (PAPF). Once completed, this form can be submitted to the SPX Assistant Athletic Director, Erin Vanwassenhove. All transfer students (regardless of previous athletic participation) need to complete the Student Transfer Form, which is completed online.
Go Panthers! Ignite Your Power.
