Eighth Grade School Visits
Eighth Grade School Visits
Each year our Enrollment Management Office works with local middle schools to arrange campus visits for their eighth graders. These students, on the cusp of high school, walk the halls with our student ambassadors and see all that St. Pius X High School has to offer them, including a walking tour of the school, faculty and staff interactions, getting to experience our unique rotating block schedule, and seeing what life is like as Veritas men and women.
For students who attend middle schools that are not planning a class visit to St. Pius X High School, please register for one of our Open Campus Preview events to experience a similar visit.
Panther for a Day
Panther for a Day
Our Panther for a Day shadow program gives eighth grade and transfer students a chance to experience a typical morning in the life of an SPX Panther. Shadowing students will be paired up with a current student with similar interests for a more personalized experience. If you have an 8th grade student and you know of a current freshman that they would like to shadow, please include this in your permission slip when submitting this. The Panther for a Day Shadow program will open for registration in November. Students must submit the online application before they are able to shadow.

- Click on the white “Schedule a Visit” button located next to the “Shadow Visit- Optional” step in your checklist
- For Visit Type, choose “Panther for a Day Shadow”
- Select a date on the calendar that your student would like to shadow
- Under “Accompanying Adult”, please select the adult that will be dropping off and picking up your student. Parents will NOT be present during the shadow visits.
