Head of School Message

Welcome to St. Pius X High School!

As you pass through the portals of this website, I hope that you are able to sense a bit of what makes St. Pius X High School such a special place of learning and life – a place that our Veritas Men and Women call home.

True to our mission statement, St Pius X is a Dominican High School inspired by Veritas.  Our students embrace their pursuit of knowledge. Students immerse themselves in a broad and challenging curriculum that includes Advanced Placement and Dual Credit courses, a comprehensive International program, and the opportunity to learn in an environment that respects diagnosed learning differences.

While instilling a sense of integrity, an education at St. Pius X goes beyond the classroom. Students are encouraged to become involved with team sports, band, choir, theatre, art, and campus ministry. The number and variety of co-curricular activities provide a living education as students exercise leadership skills, develop athletic abilities, serve the surrounding community, and share in our common Dominican heritage.

Since our founding by the Dominican Sisters of Houston in 1956, our vision for our students has remained the same: that young men and women grow into articulate, critical, life-long learners with a passion for social justice and a commitment to Veritas – truth.

We hope you will visit us soon and find your place in our community – in this place that we call home.

In Veritas,

Carmen Garrett Armistead
Head of School
