The
Foundation is established to help secure the future of St. Pius X
High School, enabling the continued commitment to the development of
academically competent and socially responsible young men and women
by providing a religious foundation and the best education possible,
thus empowering its students to offer both moral and intellectual
leadership for tomorrow.
Del Sarto Humanitarian Award
Named for
Pope Pius X, Giuseppe Del Sarto, this award exemplifies his
tradition of caring for others. He was revered for his great
humanitarian efforts, especially his abiding interest and care for
children. St. Pius X High School now proudly bestows the Del Sarto
Humanitarian Award as a legacy in his beloved name. The award
honors prominent individuals who have made a significant difference
in the quality of life in our community.
Gala Committee
The
Gala Committee consists of Sister Donna M. Pollard, O.P., Sister
Lavergne Schwender, O.P., Jolene Nixon, Cindy Medina, Erika
Bowen, Mary Moratto, Mel Myers, Harold Hidalgo and Edgar
Hancock.

money contributed by
the
Foundation to St. Pius X High School is $1 million. The Gala is
the sole fund raiser for the Foundation with the 2007 event
being the most successful grossing $460,000 with a net profit of
$330,000! Each year since 2000, the Foundation gives
$100,000 to the School.
