Underclass Pictures and Senior Portraits

Underclass pictures and senior ID pictures will take place on Sept. 8^th. Students will be taken by their English teach to the gym to be photographed. Order forms will be given to students before the weekend.

Seniors that have not had their senior portraits taken need to see attached to make an appointment with M Photography. Deadline for seniors to have their portrait included in the yearbook is Oct. 15^th.

A big "thank you" goes out to all our participants. We hope you had as much fun as we did. We hope to see you at our 1st home game September 10, 2010 @ 7:30. You will be performing during half time with the SPX Cheerleaders. Individuals please wear your camp T-shirts squads wear your cheer uniforms this will also be your ticket into the game.

An extra big "thank you" goes out to all the volunteers who made this possible. We couldn't have done it without the help of our dedicated parents, cheerleaders, and coaches. Your time and talents are greatly appreciated!

Fish Week Starts Monday, August 30

Fish week activities include 9th and 12th grade students only!

Reel ‘em in! - Seniors catch your fish! Meet your freshman/women in homeroom and give them their sign. They must wear it all day!
All Hands on Deck! - Seniors will give their fish a sailor hat during homeroom to wear for the week.
Fun in the Sun with a Bucket of Bait! – Seniors and their fish dress Hawaiian (wear Hawaiian shirts with uniform shorts/skirts, sunglasses, and leis). Seniors bring their freshmen a bucket full of tackle. Seniors will receive an information sheet on their fish’s favorite stuff. Seniors and their freshmen will play “beach” volleyball at lunch in the gym.
School of Fish: Get Spirited! - Seniors and freshmen deck out in black, orange, and white. Seniors can bring fish accessories in the colors. (Boas, hats, sunglasses, jewelry, bandanas, etc.) Seniors and freshmen will eat lunch together in the courtyard.
Fish Day! -Seniors and freshmen enjoy ice cream at lunch.

Theatre SPX 2010-11 Performance, Audition Schedules Announced

Announcing the Theatre SPX 2010-11 Season:

Antigone, by Jean Anouilh

Performance dates:

October 8-9 at 7 p.m.
October 10 at 2:30 p.m.

Audition Information:
August 18 - Auditions for Antigone. Cold reading from script. Callbacks will be on the same day.

Know any conflicts you may have with rehearsal schedule. Please note- this is a modernized version of Antigone, and not the orignal Greek version. Same story, modern language.

The Wiz, by L. Frank Baum

Performance dates:

January 28-29 at 7 p.m.
January 30 at 2:30 p.m.

Audition dates:
August 17 - Vocal auditions for The Wiz. Prepare 16 bars and bring sheet music. Sign up sheet will be posted on the callboard when school begins.

August 19 - Callbacks for The Wiz. You will taught a dance routine, so come dressed to move. Cold readings from the script will follow.

Know any conflicts you may have with rehearsal schedule.
