SPX Named AMA Houston 2009 Marketer of the Year, Best in Category Winner

St. Pius X High School has been recognized as the top Houston elementary/secondary marketer by the American Marketing Association’s Houston Chapter. SPX Concert Chorale and Campus Singers Perform Well in District, Move on to State

Mixed Chorus Sacred Ensemble, under the Direction of Senior Choirmaster Patrick W. Spedale, earned an Excellent Rating of II. Treble Chorus Sacred Ensemble, under the direction of Choirmaster Paul Jurick, earned sweepstakes with an overall Superior Rating of I and will advance to the TAPPS state contest in April. Several SPX students also will compete at the state competition next month!

Second-year head coach Larry Monks says interest in the St. Pius X Rugby Football Club is at an all-time high, with more than 40 players in the program.

Panther Athletics
The Softball Team takes on Houston Christian and O'Connell before the San Marcos Tournament. The Baseball Team will play against Westbury and participate in the St. Thomas/St. Pius X Tournament. The Golf Team is participating in the Concordia Lutheran Tournament. Track and Field will compete at the Dave Bethany Relays. The Tennis Team will play against Houston Christian and St. Thomas.
