The October 2007 issue of Rise Magazine name Joey D'Eramo as one of only two "Prime Time Players" on the Greater Houston "All-Area Cross Country" team.  The magazine list the Top 10 high school boy runners in the Greater Houston area, then list a second team of 12 runners.  D'Eramo is the only private school runner in the Top 10, with Strake Jesuit and St. Thomas each placing a runner on the second team.  St. Pius X was one of only two runners/schools highlighted beyond the Top 10 in the Prime Time Players selection box.  Rise Magazine is a national publication that is published out of Boston, Mass., and is the nation's leading sports and active lifestyle magazine for teens.

Joey D'Eramo named Overall Male Champion while also winning the Senior Boys Varsity Run at the University of Houston Cross Country Cougar Classic on August 25, 2007. The award was based on completing the best time of the day of all races combined. (Click here for story.)
